Pull the “handbrake” on Thursday, November 26 Metro, Electric and Tram, due to the 24-hour strike announced by the Athens Labor Center, participating in the ADEDY strike.
In particular, according to a joint announcement by the STASY unions, a 24-hour strike will take place on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Metro, ISAP and Tram.
The employees’ demands are the strengthening of coronavirus prevention measures and the signing of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
“From the first moment of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, we stood up, responsibly, in the face of unprecedented conditions and with claims and proposals, we managed, in difficult conditions and despite adversity, to keep Stable Transport moving and provide safe transportation work. “However, we are not prepared to accept this pandemic as a ‘tool’ to pass anti-labor bills and level decades of rights and profits,” the workers said.

STA.SY. SA, from the first moment of the manifestation of the Covid-19 pandemic, we stop, responsibly, before unpublished conditions and with claims and proposals, we managed, in difficult conditions and despite adversity, to maintain Stable Transportation and to provide a job of Safe transportation.
However, we are not prepared to accept this pandemic as a “tool” to pass anti-labor bills and level decades of rights and achievements.
It is clear that the government’s proposals for the abolition of 8 o’clock, unpaid overtime, the further restriction of the strike, the weakening of the possibility of labor disputes, the reduction of the benefits of the working class through OAED , the further weakening of the possibility of signing an SS Ε. and many others cannot be accepted by employees.
That is why we join all the unions and participate in the 24-hour strike, declared for November 26, 2020 by the Athens Labor Center.
At the same time, we affirm:
Strengthen preventive measures for the spread of Covid-19 within STA.SY., within the framework set by all Associations, the first being the facilitation of all employees to carry out the Covid-19 test by the Company.
