They may be open tomorrow last sunday of the year, supermarkets and other grocery stores (for example, convenience stores, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers, patisseries), pharmacies, auto repair shops and stores that operate with “open air delivery”, while they will also be open on Sunday 3 January 2021, with optional opening hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
This is provided for in the new decision published in the Official Government Gazette (D1a / GP.oik. 83418 / 12.24.2020) that modifies the previous decision and refers to the measures that are applied throughout the territory for the period between Sunday, December 13, 2020 and at 6:00 a.m. until Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.
It is recalled that stores cannot operate in municipalities where a strict closure has been imposed.
The following operating conditions apply to stores:
– Four people up to 100 square meters. and one person for every 10 square meters. Further.
– Distance of a meter and a half between people.
– Special disinfection in wheelbarrows / baskets and not, where they exist, with the development of a daily disinfection program, which is presented to the competent authorities.
– Hours until 9:00 p.m., with the exception, with regard to food stores, of the operation of delivery services, which is allowed to operate until 1:00 a.m.
– Food companies are prohibited from selling, with the exception of telephone and electronic commerce, as well as remote pre-purchase / pre-selection of goods through electronic or telephone order (click away), products with the following Activity Code Numbers:
a) Retail sale of computers, peripherals and software in specialized stores / KAD 47.41,
b) retail sale of telecommunications equipment in specialized stores / KAD 47.42, c) retail sale of audio equipment and

According to the modifications of the decision, with regard to the public service only in urgent cases and by appointment, it is established that banks and cases in which an appointment cannot be scheduled are excluded (courier companies, Greek Post, ELTA , DEPI, EY .λπ.)
As for the gatherings, it is provided that: “Especially for the days 24, 25, 31 December 2020 and January 1, 2021, gatherings are allowed, with a maximum of 9 participants of up to 2 families”.
Sport activities
The same Official Gazette emphasizes that as of January 1, 2021, the operation of sports facilities for training is also allowed without the presence of spectators from the participating teams in the category A ‘championships of women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, male-female water polo and male-female handball.
Hunting and fishing are allowed.
The movement of hunters or fishermen for hunting / fishing is also allowed under the following conditions:
– This movement takes place exclusively within the corresponding Regional Unit, or exceptionally in the case of Attica within the limits of the Region,
– participation of up to two hunters / fishermen for safety reasons,
– implementation of all measures to protect public health during the specific activity.
– Especially in the case of hunting, in addition to the circulation certificate (Type B certificate) a valid hunting permit is required.
Visit to cemeteries
Especially for the period between December 25, 2020 and January 2, 2021, the movement of up to two people is allowed for the purpose of visiting cemeteries and specifically only at the place of burial or for the performance of rituals.
