The Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Panagiotis Stampoulidis, spoke about the closure at least until December 6.

“Take it as a fact until December 6,” he said, while clarifying that the restrictive measures will continue after that date. “We will not see images of all of us going back to the street, somehow the measures will apply both to the operation of businesses and to traffic,” he said in an interview with SKAI TV, while reiterating many times that “we will open with rules “. ».

Click on purchases

Speaking Wednesday morning at MEGA, Panagiotis Stampoulidis also addressed the “click away” that will apply to in-store purchases. According to him, this is a practice that is applied internationally, mainly in northern and central Europe, in order to address the issue of consumer service.

The “click away” provides the following steps: electronic ordering of the product, prepayment of the product and finally with the order – receipt of payment, receipt of the product from a specially designed area outside the store. The Secretary General of Commerce pointed out that in this way the transports are unloaded and overcrowding is avoided, since “there will be no market research within the store, but from the online store.”

According to Stampoulidis, the click was put on the table as an alternative when the stores opened.

“We want a smooth transition on a level playing field for the entire market,” he said, adding that e-commerce tools have not been developed for small and medium-sized businesses. He also spoke about Back Friday, about which he said there is a mobility in recent days and advised consumers to be especially careful with suppliers.

Finally, he said that a transparency barcode is being prepared for electronic transactions, that those suppliers who have obtained the certification of a healthy company.

Mr. Georgiadis, in fact, stressed that “we relaxed quickly, because there was a feeling that with the high temperatures the virus would weaken.” On the contrary, now the coronavirus is much stronger. “For whatever reason we go out, we will put on the mask and have the antiseptic in our pocket,” he added.
