The Secretary for Crime Policy, Sofia Nikolaou

Anti-Crime Policy Secretary General Sofia Nikolaou launches an attack on former Health Minister and SYRIZA MP Pavlos Polakis for his Facebook posts for direct assignments and bribes in connection with a contract for the supply of nitrile gloves for Stores.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Citizen Protection states that Mr. Polakis deliberately compares two different contracts, as the first for police departments was made when demand was low and prices are much lower than today, where the demand is huge. At the time bids for the gloves were submitted to the police stations, prices ranged from € 8.85 to € 9.95 per package.

Pavlos Polakis’s post:

“MRS. NIKOLAOU” responded “to my complaints with this suppressed press release (photo 1) thinking that it is aimed at idiots who do not understand !!!

1) INSTEAD OF ANOTHER RESPONSE to Ms Nikolaou I announce, today, DECEMBER 5 (that there is a great demand for items as Ms Nikolaou says to justify the double price of buying nitrile gloves for prison shops) two photos (photo) from online stores that shows AT WHAT PRICES ANY NITRILE GLOVE CAN SUPPLY TODAY !! (and not the state that with the mass market lower prices can be achieved)

Note that there are also much cheaper than the ones I went up !!

2) With your answer today, Ms. Nikolaou, YOU PROVED that in addition to gnawing public money, it is also an ASISTOLI LIE !!

In the first place, ELAS did not carry out an open international tender as you say, you did not receive ANY other offer and thirdly, as shown in photo 4, the offer of 8.85 euros / box, from the company that took the 6,500 .000 ELAS gloves, IT WAS GIVEN on November 18. AND NOT MANY MONTHS BEFORE as you say to justify the “grabber” you did on December 3 with the transfer of 17.5 euros / box !!!!!

MRS NIKOLAOU, even after this NO answer, you have one way left: QUIT! Otherwise they should fire her (unless she has an obligation …) “.

Sofia Nikolaou, who was attacked by P. Polakis responds:

Once again, Pavlos Polakis confirms that after the bottom there is also the deceiver. With his attack on me, with his insults and miserable characterizations, with his completely non-existent accusations and the mud that he deliberately and systematically unleashes against me, he shows that he is incorrigible and passionate.

But does Polakis have the moral weight to attack me or does he just continue to successfully play the role of the “buffoon” of the left and the “yes man” of their leader?

What is the moral stature of someone who, as Minister of Health, smoked where and when he wanted and wrote the laws on his old shoes?

The doctor and MP Polakis having fun with his friends in the middle of his quarantine. The same one that circulates without a mask in the ICU while 100 people die every day.

The one who had double books as mayor, and was actually content with the role of the modern Greek “swindler.”

The one who illegally registered the central banker as a bed bug from the last substation but did not dare to appear in court.

Polakis, who was a key member of the parastatal SYRIZA en Justicia and wanted to imprison political opponents to win the elections.

He is the same one who told a journalist “I’m going to throw you ten feet to the ground” or who killed a journalist outside the Palacio de los Máximo and did not even apologize.

So the one who has deservedly earned the status of “national skin” attacks me with such dirty arguments.

And since he asked for my resignation or expulsion, I will reply with a favorite phrase: “I have you, Polakis. All of you and I …»

However, because the misery of the former minister and the system he serves should not go unanswered, I respond with facts.

If you have the courage, let’s go to court to see if your big picture goes there.

Regarding the supply of nitrile gloves for detention centers, I have the following to say to Mr. Polakis and his company:

– The prices of all sanitary materials in recent months are adjusted according to supply and demand. If production cannot meet world demand, prices rise.

– The same goes for gloves. When demand was low, prices were low. Since the imposition of the second quarantine, world demand has increased as a result of which all health products are sold at a higher price, compared to other periods.

– Countries like Germany, and especially Malaysia, “froze” glove production, leading to a shortage in the market and an increase in prices.

– The contracts referred to by Mr. Polakis for the supply of gloves at the price of 8.85 euros per package, were made in a different period.

Specifically:

– On Friday, December 4, in the midst of the pandemic and with extremely high needs in the Detention Centers and throughout society, the General Secretariat signed a contract for the supply of nitrile gloves.

– The price of each pack of 100 gloves was 17.5 euros.

– This contract was signed because the supplier company presented -at this moment- the lowest price. The next offers were 20 euros, 20.75 euros, 20.35 euros and the last one was 17.5 euros per package, which we accept as the most advantageous for the Greek state.

– Let Mr. Polakis mention which companies could offer a lower price during this period. Why didn’t they bid at 8.9 or 10 euros per package to be contractors?

Let us know of course which companies are currently engaged to be able to supply large quantities of gloves IMMEDIATELY.

– With obvious convenience, Mr. Polakis tries to compare different contracts. That of the General Secretariat for Anti-Crime Policy and that of the Ministry of Civil Protection for police departments.

The open international tender of the Ministry of Civil Protection for the supply of nitrile gloves took place months ago when demand was minimal and therefore the price was set at 8.85 euros per package.

Offers from companies were submitted in October, when demand was low. At that time, market prices ranged from € 8.85 to € 9.95 per package.

After the escalation of cases and the increase in demand for gloves worldwide, prices have nothing to do with those of October or any other period.

Therefore, if the General Secretariat acquired the gloves in October, with minimal cases and without quarantine, the price would be set at 8-9 euros. And if the Ministry of Citizen Protection today made the tender with Greece in a confinement, it would receive offers at 17-18 euros.

Polakis knows all this, but deliberately hides it.

And he blatantly lies when he talks about direct assignments. The offers are presented, the lowest price is selected and the competent services carry out the legal and financial control, before the transfer and during the invoicing.

In conclusion, Mr. Polakis just continues to throw mud at the fan because he knows that he is addressing the humblest instincts of SYRIZA fans and paid trolls.
