Singer Dimitris Psarianos died

The important composer Dimitris Psarianos, who uniquely performed “The Great Erotic” by Manos Hadjidakis, has passed away at age 72. Dimitris Psarianos was born on December 29, 1948 in Preveza.

He studied singing and guitar. In 1972 Dimitris Psarianos sang the songs of “Megalo Erotiko” by Manos Hadjidakis with Fleri Dantonaki. In 1980 he performed the song cycle “Ta erotika” with music by Christos Gartzos and poetry by Pablo Neruda in a free interpretation by Lefteris Papadopoulos.

In the following years, Dimitris Psarianos released the album “Ta tragoudia pou Agapo”, while he also participated in other record works by renowned composers and singer-songwriters, such as Thanasis Gaifillias, Sakis Tsilikis, etc.
