Shooting and … grenade threats at a family gathering in Thessaloniki.

Last night, on Christmas Day, a serious family incident took place in the Diavata area of ​​western Thessaloniki.

During a family Christmas gathering at home, a 58-year-old man who was under the influence of alcohol had a fight with a 47-year-old woman, who according to information is his estranged wife. He threw objects at her during the fight without injuring her, but then the episode got even more savage, as the 58-year-old climbed onto the roof of the house where he fired twice with a carbine. In fact, he even threatened his relatives with a grenade!

The 58-year-old man was detained by the OPKE police, while agents from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department (TEEM) arrived at the scene, deactivating the grenade, which was later received by the Army.
