Don’t forget to wish them!

Tuesday September 29 Today and according to the celebration, Saint Kyriakos la Partida is honored by the Orthodox Church.

So this is the day we should wish Kyriakos “Happy Birthday”!

DOMINGO SANTO, the Supporter

He was a man who cultivated “patience, meekness.” That is why he was successful in his ascetic life. He was born in Corinth in the 5th century to a priest father, John. His mother was named Eudoxia and he had a brother, the Archbishop of Corinth, Peter. Kyriakos, a priest, went to Jerusalem at an early age and from there to the Lavra of Euthymius the Great. There, Euthymius the Great made him a monk and sent him to the ascetic Gerasimos. When Gerasimos died, Kyriakos returned to the Lavra of Efthymios, where he jealously cultivated his virtues, until a stop at the Lavra of Efthymios forced him to go to the Lavra of Soukas. There, at age 40, he was ordained an elder and took charge of the Sacristy. What differentiated him from his contemporaries was the peaceful way in which he treated them, which is why he was an example to be imitated by all. Seventy-year-old Kyriakos left there and patiently visited many monasteries and hermitages, where he lived with strict practice. Finally, he died at the age of 107 and everyone was left with the memory of the ascetic, who showed “meekness towards all.” Gentleness, that is, to all people without exception. Introit. Ήχος δ ‘. Quick prejudged. You followed Christ, you overwhelmed the earth, and I live like an angel, I rule with clarity, like a carnal Hosea; go to the deserts, join the divine desire, remove the bitterness of the past, repel a bitter taste. Gave Kyriake so far, worthy of praise.
