In the Messara area, Heraklion, one of the two alleged perpetrators of the murder of the businessman, Nikos Tsakanikas, was arrested in Chalkida on 12 November.
It is about Syros, Isa Baiman, 27, whose details, as well as his photo, had been made public following a relevant order from the Chalkida Prosecutor’s Office.
The 27-year-old is being held in Heraklion and will be transferred to Chalkida, to be referred to the prosecutor and the investigator, according to ERT.
The second main suspect, a 46-year-old compatriot, Huran Youssef, was arrested in the Netherlands on Christmas Day in the same case.
From the first moment, the two men were considered the authors of the murder of the unfortunate businessman in Chalkida.
