Stores with seasonal items are open on Monday mornings, while the sale of Christmas items in supermarkets is also allowed.

The Secretary General for Commerce and Consumer Protection, Panagiotis Stampoulidis, presented the operation of the seasonal stores, which will remain open until January 8 and their hours of operation will be from 7:00 to 20:30, every day. Citizens will be able to go to stores, sending the code 2 to 13033, as well as to supermarkets.

Within the stores with seasonal items, all protocols for the restriction of the transmission of the coronavirus must be observed, with the mandatory use of a mask and 4 people per 100 m2. In case of a larger tent, 1 person will be allowed for every 100 square meters. In addition, the use of the elevator is prohibited whenever possible.

Mr. Stampoulidis clarified that “it is not allowed to change data on the primary KAD through the tax administration, during the entire validity of the measures,” while announcing the KAD that can operate, he stressed that these KADs, as secondary, are prohibited sell these products.

In detail, the KAD

In his position, the Secretary General for Commerce and Consumer Protection said that companies that operate purely seasonally have the following main activities:

• Retail sale of lighting fixtures of a kind used in Christmas trees with KAD / 47.59.56.16
• Retail Imitation Christmas Trees with KAD / 47.65.67.02
• Retail of general holiday items with KAD / 47.65.67.06
• Retail trade of festive, carnival and other entertainment articles, etc. with KAD / 47.65.67.07

• Products included in the above 4 KADs can also be sold by Food Supermarkets (supermarkets).
• Duration of operation of the stores from December 7 to January 8, 2021
• Companies that have the previous KAD as a secondary are prohibited from selling these products.
• It is also not allowed to change data on the primary CAD through the tax administration, during the validity of the measures.

The rules of operation of stores with seasonal items.

The operating rules are adapted to the requirements to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and are part of the lockdown procedures, and are as follows:

To go to the store it is necessary to send an SMS to 13033 with option 2 or a completed form, a circulation certificate or a handwritten certificate to go to a functioning essential goods store (supermarket).

Opening hours from 07:00 am to 8:30 pm

The following applies to the population within stores:

• Ratio of people per m2. 4/100
• More than 100 square meters. 1 person for every 15 m2.
• The use of a protective mask by work personnel and the public of clients / visitors / consumers is mandatory.
• Maintaining a distance of 2 meters between people.
• It is recommended not to use elevators. However, if its use is deemed necessary, the integrity in relation to the permissible limit should be of the order of 40%.
• If there is an escalator, the use of an elevator is not allowed except for the disabled, elderly or for catering use.

Papathanasis: after the seasonal shops, hairdressers and bookstores

Speaking to SKAI on Sunday, Deputy Minister of Development Nikos Papathanasis addressed the opening of seasonal stores.
