Sypsas: estimates that nothing will open on December 7

Infectious Diseases Professor Nikos Sypsas, speaking to ANT1 today about the opening of schools, responded that his personal opinion is that nothing should be opened on December 7 (the date the closure regime ends in the country), including the retail and catering. .

“My assessment is that nothing will be opened on the 7th of the month. Neither do schools. “I wish there was a quick de-escalation, but with the current data I don’t think so,” he characteristically said. Mr. Sypsas stressed on the television channel and the program “Good morning Greece” that the cases have shown a significant reduction lately, however the same does not happen with the intubated ones, and therefore he considers that the measures should continue.

Papaevangelou: To open elementary schools

For her part, the professor of Pediatrics-Infectious Diseases of EKPA and member of the committee of the Ministry of Health, Vana Papaevangelou, speaking today about SKAI 100.3 insisted on the opening of primary schools. When talking about the cases of contagion detected in the school community, he said that 5,000 cases have been registered, up to 17 years. At the same time, he said, 1,000 units had been closed due to one case.
