An emblematic figure on Greek television has passed away. THE Sasha manneta, which was the first presenter from public television, was born in Nikaia, Piraeus. She was the daughter of the journalist, writer and researcher Takis Manetta and Barbara Vizyinos, niece of the poet Georgios Vizyinos. After graduating from high school, he studied Stage Design at the Stavrakos School of Theater and Acting at the Theodosiadis School. He participated, with prominence, in the theatrical performance “The Thief Screams” by Dimitris Psathas, with Mimis Fotopoulos.
So, the Sasha manetta She was hired by the EIP (State Television) as a presenter and later assumed the direction of cultural programs. He was also involved in lyric writing, writing around 250 songs on records, many of which are well-known hits. He was awarded six times at the Thessaloniki Song Festival, three times winning the First Prize.
THE Sasha manetta has published a book of poems entitled “The other twin” (Línea, 1982), which was awarded with praise and money by the Ministry of Culture, “Loneliness is …”, with sketches and brief speeches (Ombros publications) , the novel “The prince of broken jeans” (Oceanida Publications), and the novel “With a passport the lie” (Publications).
