Nikos Filippopoulos was born in Volos the 1928 and studied in School of Drama of the National Theater. He also studied radio direction, but also Byzantine and European music.
Participated in the show “Children’s time” (Antigone Metaxa) and at the same time he performed at the Antigone Metaxa theater. Later he participated in numerous radio programs.
He developed extensive directing activity: he directed many Greek and foreign plays, historical and folk chronicles, follow-up programs on religious themes, etc.
He adapted several theatrical texts. He first appeared on stage in 1945.. From then until 1982, he participated in 62 National Theater performances. His most famous film appearance was his performance. Themistoklis (brother of Maro Kontou), in the movie “The woman is afraid of the man”. She was the wife of actress Lefki Venturatou.
