One of the best footballers on the Makedonikos “golden” team in the 1980s, defender Elias Atmatzidis, passed away on Christmas Day.
Atmatzidis was 57 years old and died, “struck” by the coronavirus.
His funeral will take place today in a closed family circle.
Atmatzidis was acquired by Hermes Neapoleos and played for Makedonikos both in the Second National and in the team that participated in the First National championship.
He was teammates among others with Terzanidis, Drambi, Bika and Kermanidis in the great team of Makedonikos.
