The child was hospitalized in serious condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the PAGNI, suffered craniocerebral injuries, contusions to the lung and was intubated. However, on Thursday night, despite the battle that unfolded in the Children’s Intensive Care Unit, unfortunately the child ended, as confirmed by the PAGNI administration.
The fatal car accident
According to the information, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Hersonissos, when the boy who was moving with an electric scooter tried to cross the road and go down in unclear circumstances he was dragged by the agricultural car that was moving from Malia to Heraklion.
Initially, he was rushed to the Malia Health Center, but it was deemed necessary to transfer him to PAGNI for treatment.
The traffic police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident while a case is initiated against the driver.
