A message of optimism that humanity will be able to be victorious in its battle against the coronavirus was sent by the professor of Infectious Diseases and head of the expert committee of the Ministry of Health, Sotiris Tsiodras.

Speaking at an event of the Association of HIV positive people in Greece “Positive Voice” on the “Roof” of the Onassis Foundation, on the occasion of World AIDS Day, Mr. Tsiodras stressed that HIV / AIDS acted as a compass for the coronavirus and pointed out that many forms of stigma and discrimination in the Covid-19 pandemic, due to fear and uncertainty that arise during a pandemic.

However, the professor stressed: “We will win, because as humanity we have learned to win.”

As he said “we already have optimistic data on vaccines. I hope that with understanding and patience we will overcome the tunnel. “There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel.”

And this, according to him, will be done “as long as we are in solidarity, respect and advance together. “Don’t let this divide us.”
