EODY teams have been conducting a rapid test for the coronavirus since morning at the Syntagma metro station and people who already test positive for the virus have already been identified.
Already, in the first 350 tests, six of them were positive, said the president of EODY, Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, who was there together with the Minister of Health, Vassilis Kikilias. Antigen testing of citizens will continue until noon in the Constitution, while attendance is quite large.
The quick test result is sent by SMS to citizens’ mobile phones, while the data is recorded in the database of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Kikilias noted.

That is why it is important for us, for scientific reasons and for public health reasons, to know what the percentages of negative and positive samples are”, the Minister of Health also pointed out.

For his part, the EODY president noted that an increase in coronavirus cases is expected in the next period.
“In the coming weeks, everyone, because we also expect an increase in cases, we must be careful and it is very important to follow the measures. “It is not necessary to go to an area in red for citizens to begin to realize that they must comply with the measures,” Arkoumaneas said, emphasizing the importance of wearing a mask, keeping your distance and washing your hands regularly.
