Nude photographs were taken at the “Heraklion” shipwreck monument in Talo Square on Saturday afternoon in front of the shocked eyes of passersby.
The Municipality of Chania, as well as the Coast Guard and Archeology declared ignorance about the incident.
Passersby could not believe what they saw, and some would come closer to see if they did not dream of the spectacle they saw.
“It is obvious that the Municipality of Chania never gave or could give permission for a photo session that evokes memory or the work of art. At the same time, we are sure that anyone who witnesses an insult to the monuments of our city must immediately report the incident to the police or port authorities, to do the right thing, ”said the mayor of Chania Panagiotis, among others. Simandirakis, for the nude photo, that a storm broke out.
