The reaction of many top SYRIZA executives was sparked by Theodora Tzakris’ derogatory expression for Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The SYRIZA MP called the Prime Minister “stateless” for his foreign policy behavior, while also calling him “internationalist”, a characterization that is traditionally left-wing. has a positive and not a negative sign.
The reaction that stood out was that of the former minister and current deputy Nikos Filis.
Details of what he wrote on facebook:
Recently, journalists M. Koutra and N. Felekis (first issue, radio) asked me about the statements of SYRIZA deputy Th. Tzakri.
I replied: From what I read, Ms. Tzakri said that Mr. Mitsotakis with his Greek-Turkish policy proves to be “stateless and internationalist”. First of all, let me clarify that it is not included in the moral tradition of the left or in the broader progressive space to accuse someone of being a “stateless person.”
This tactic and this word is a right-wing civil war curse, a holdover from another era, which Mr. Mitsotakis as the then official opposition leader had unfortunately tried to revive with his fight against the Prespa Agreement.
Therefore, such characterizations do not belong to us. They belonged, and regrettably continue to belong, to the right-wing civil war arsenal. Mr. Mitsotakis is not stateless. It has its own perception of foreign policy. Much clearer, he is not an internationalist. But even more, it is not a reproach to be an internationalist! Praise him! The left has shed blood defending the traditions of patriotism and internationalism. Ms. Tzakri should provide explanations on these statements.
There were also reactions from executives such as Dimitris Papadimoulis and Panos Lambrou.
