No Greek government is discussing the demilitarization of the islands, government spokesman Stelios Petsas clarified on SKAI TV.

He pointed out that Turkey has no reason in the Dodecanese because it is not a party and said that we will do everything possible to preserve the sovereignty of our country.

At the same time, he stressed that “we are coordinated with Cyprus on all issues.”

Mr. Petsas noted that the Prime Minister has made it clear that communication requires trust and preparation. If these two exist, a conversation between the two leaders is not ruled out.

The government will support the income of all those affected by the pandemic for as long as necessary, underlined government spokesman Stelios Petsas.

He said the government will fight to prevent the situation from worsening and called on citizens to support the measures.

Referring to the occupation of schools, Mr. Petsas estimated that from next week there will be a de-escalation.

When asked if they were politically motivated, he said there had been a clear position from mayors, with a specific political profile, in favor of squatting.

We have many different fields, let’s leave the schools out, stressed the representative.
