Thomas Murg was born on November 14, 1994 in Wojsberg, Austria, and at the age of six he entered the Burnbach academies, where he remained until 2010, making his way through Strum Graz.
He then moved to Grazer, where he made his professional debut in 2010. There he stayed for two years, scoring 49 games and 13 goals in the small categories for Austria, before taking the big step for Austria Vienna.
In Austria he played 19 games, scoring two goals, being between the first and second team, while also winning a championship in the 2012-13 season. In 2014 he moved to Reed, where his competitive launch came. In two seasons, the Austrian had 44 appearances, eight goals and six assists, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the league.
In January 2016, Rapid Vienna acquired it by transfer. Murg immediately found a role in the team and was instrumental in the upward trend of recent years.
In total, he played 163 games with Rapid, found networks 35 times, and delivered 40 assists.
