The restoration of the gravity coefficients and a new way of calculating the points, from the national exams of 2021 onwards, “brings” a ministerial decision published in the Official Gazette (Β ‘3821 / 9.9.2020).
As stipulated in the decision, the calculation of the total number of points of the candidates will be carried out as follows:
The sum of written scores on the twenty-grade scale with a focus of one-tenth of the four courses tested nationally, which are provided in the Guidance Group to which the candidate belongs for the specific Scientific Field, will be multiplied by two.
Then, to this product the products of the written qualifications of the two courses with the respective weights will be added, which are provided in the Guidance Group to which the candidate belongs for the specific Scientific Field. The final sum is multiplied by one hundred (100).
The coefficients of gravity were defined as follows:

Top ten most popular schools
In the ten most popular schools, the Medicine of Athens appears in first place – in timelessness – with 1,985 candidates choosing it as the first option, while 3,289 in total included it as an option on their computer.
The University of Athens covers almost 50% of the options, with the faculties of Law, Psychology, TEFAA and Informatics being the most popular options.
NTUA is in 3rd and 8th place with the schools of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, AUTh in 6th and 7th place with the schools of Psychology and Medicine, while AOP’s Department of Science and Technology of Management is in the top five schools. popular.
Schools left in … unsolicited
On the other hand, departments with admissions bases of 800 to 3,000 points recorded a single-digit number of candidates’ first elections, although they were chosen by many as an option on their computer.
Indicatively, the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Patras was selected as the first choice by only 4 candidates and its admission base was reduced to 875 points.
The Department of the Environment in Zakynthos with only 5 candidates to put it as the first choice recorded an admission base of 900 points.
The plethora of similar articles that have changed the academic map over the last year in conjunction with the economic situation that makes it difficult for many families to maintain an additional home in another city, according to the newspaper, has “doomed” several regional departments (eg x. Mathematics, Physics) to be in the last elections of the candidates, so they register low bases.
