Last minute reversal with schools, as relevant announcements are out for tomorrow Saturday.
During the information session of the Ministry of Health, the Minister of Education Niki Kerameos, who would announce the decisions for the schools, did not participate. As they explained, the infectious diseases committee is still meeting, so the relevant announcements will be made tomorrow Saturday by the Minister of Education.

The three scenarios in which infectious disease specialists are working and which will be considered by the government to make the relevant decisions are:
- Close primary schools and kindergartens in Thessaloniki and in northern parts of Greece.
- Close schools in all areas with epidemiological burden.
- Close all schools nationwide.
It should be noted that on Friday afternoon EODY announced 3,038 new cases of coronavirus in our country in the last 24 hours. In addition, 38 deaths were recorded, while 336 patients are hospitalized in the ICU. It is noted that in the last 24 hours another 26 of our fellow citizens were intubated.
As it became known today, the government leaned on the decision to close primary schools across Greece and the closure of primary schools will take effect from next Monday.
