Ankara will re-launch the Oruch Reis in the eastern Mediterranean within the Greek continental shelf, from October 12 to 22, according to information from Kathimerini.

At a respiratory distance, in the zone between 6 and 12 nautical miles, Turkey sends its aircraft carrier with NAVTEX from the Antalya Station (1262/20), proceeding in a movement of strong tension escalation.

Oruch Reyes is sent to activities from Monday, October 12 to Thursday, October 22.

The blocked area starts from a great distance south of Rhodes and its northern part “closes” just south of the Kastelorizo complex, with its two ends between Ro and Strongyli, the two islets that complete the complex.

The move marks a significant step for Ankara, just days after Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu promised Niko Dendia that Turkey would propose a date for exploration.

The move was also registered two days before the visit of German Foreign Minister Haiko Maas to Ankara, with the aim of speeding up contacts between Greece and Turkey.
