Started Monday morning order process for 206 private doctors in their hospitals YOU, in order to intensify the efforts of public hospitals to stop the pandemic.
Specifically, the Ministry of Health promoted the checklists of the health orders, which were then sent to the Attica police departments and from there the police will attend to them until the end of the day with identification or closing of doors.
It is observed that the roadmaps refer to doctors contracted with EOPYY, under 60 years and the specialties of Pathologists, Pulmonologists and General Practitioners in Attica that are required for one month. It goes without saying that before taking office they will be asked if they have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
These are the roadmaps for hiring doctors
As announced by Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias: For weeks, the Ministry of Health issued a call-invitation to private doctors, to strengthen the Hospitals of the National Health Service. in its third strong wave COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, very few private doctors came. We thank you. Taking into account the emergency conditions and the urgent need for treatment of our peers, the Ministry of Health is ordering personal services of doctors from the specialties of Physicians, Pulmonologists and Family Physicians in Attica “.
For her part, the government spokeswoman Aristotle Peloni, referring to doctor’s order said that “We expect the doctors to do their job, otherwise the law will be enforced.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health published an informal document with 16 questions on the order of doctors.. According to this, the criteria for the request are announced, but it is also clarified why this solution was chosen. Below are the 16 question-answers:
• Why did we receive the order?
For a month, we have been making repeated appeals to doctors in the private sector to contribute to the great national effort.
Especially for Attica, the appeal was carried out institutionally together with the president of the Athens Medical Association and the regional governor of Attica, George Patoulis, on March 10 at a joint press conference with the Minister of Health. Vassilis Kikilias. The decision is part of the Emergency Plan of the Ministry of Health and unfortunately it was necessary due to the small number of private doctors who stated that they voluntarily collaborate with the national effort to support the hospitals of the National Health Service. and the protection of public health.
• What does “request for medical services” mean?
It means the mandatory inclusion of private doctors in the National Health Service. over a period of time to help public structures.
• What incentives have been given to doctors who are not permanent doctors of the National Health Service?
the Ministry of Health has taken a series of legislative initiatives in order to provide incentives and facilities to physicians, in order to unite and strengthen the ESY
Doctors who had requested the specialization until 12/15/2020, were able to go immediately to the hospitals of their choice and be employed for 4 months, that is, until their usual appointment, this period is counted as practice time in the specialty.
Likewise, doctors who had enrolled in the first year of medical schools in the country and abroad until the academic year 2005-2006 were exempted from fulfilling field service (rural), so a large number of doctors The specialty exams and participation in the calls for permanent positions of doctors of the National Health Service immediately acquire the right.
In addition, doctors who have obtained or will be trained to obtain the title of Anesthesiology and for doctors who will perform examinations until December 31, 2021 for the specialty Pneumology / Tuberculosis, have been relieved of the obligation to perform field service (rural ).
• Were there any financial incentives or the possibility of a permanent appointment at ESY?
Of course. They were given the opportunity to collaborate by issuing a service voucher, with a tax-free monthly fee of two thousand (2,000) euros. In addition, there is a fee for their participation in on-call time, if they participate, equal to that of Curator B ‘.
In the event of the participation of these physicians in a selection process to fill physician positions YOU., the months of service that pass are scored according to the current of the auxiliary doctors of the public hospitals.
Likewise, the possibility of permanent appointment was given to specialists in Pulmonology-Tuberculosis, Cardiology, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery, Surgery, Internal Medicine and Nephrology, who worked in 2020 as auxiliary medical personnel in the ICU. Adults and children and MENN (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), after their request to be appointed, with the rank of curator B, in organic positions of physicians of the National Health Service. of METH units. and Μ.Ε.Ν.Ν.
Furthermore, these doctors have been exempted from field service (rural).
• Have you agreed to pay for on-call time?
In the last 1.5 years we have legislated provisions to ensure the timely and complete payment of the on-call time of the Doctors of Public Hospitals and Health Centers:
1. We increased the percentage of additional on-call time from 9% to 15%, for a period of 7 months (from 1-3-2020 to 6-30-2020, and from 10-1-2020 to 12-31-2020 ), so there are no cuts on call. We are proceeding with the issuance of a new JMC to increase the percentage after January 1, 2021.
2. For the few cases in which the percentage of additional shifts exceeds 15%, we have legalized the advancement of shifts, so that no doctor loses a euro. The last legalization took place at the end of December and there will be a new extension.
3. In the vast majority of hospitals, January 2021 has been paid, followed by the liquidation and payment of the following months.
• Have you also invited retired doctors to help?
Of course we call them. They were given the opportunity to work in the National Health Service. Specifically, retired physicians, of the necessary specialties (physicians, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists and general practitioners for a period of time and for general practitioners) fight against public health emergencies.
In fact, retired physicians who provide their services exclusively in Intensive care units (METH), are excluded from the 30% reduction in their main and auxiliary pensions.
