A development that stops any negotiation process and activates the provisions of the law approved by Parliament.
After the implementation of the universal requirement, in accordance with the relevant law, the head of the 3rd Health District takes over the baguette of administration. Depending on the needs, the transfers from state hospitals to private ones will be decided. Even with a decision by the Governors of the NSS structures, the necessary supporting documents for the referral of patients to private clinics will be specified. The EKAB is in charge of coordinating and supervising the process of transferring patients from public hospitals to the nursing or ICU rooms of private clinics, following a relevant daily update on the availability of inpatient beds and ICU beds, as well as of hospitalization. Patients transferred to ICUs from private clinics, in the event that treatment continues in a single room, are transferred to the structures of the NSS, if available.
Given the dramatic increase in ICU occupancy rates in all hospitals, vigilantes have been established both in the air and in fixed orbit to transport patients. In this field TRAINOSE has been requested to have a train available in Thessaloniki to transport more Covid-19 patients to hospitals in Attica, while a transport plane from our Air Force is always available.
