A pilot from the Air Force’s F-16 ZEUS Individual Aircraft Demonstration Team sent a message from the air to all of Greece to celebrate the national anniversary of October 28.

The pilot described “NO” as “the most laconic and resounding message in the history of the world”, and pointed out that “Democracy and Freedom are indestructible ideals that will triumph as long as there are immortal Greek souls.”

Detailed message from the pilot of October 28:

“Greek, Greek women. From Orestiada to Gavdos and from Othonos to Kastelorizo, let us remember that the most laconic and resounding message in world history consists of two syllables, NO. A message that reminds everyone that Democracy and Freedom are indestructible ideals that will triumph as long as there are immortal Greek souls. Souls bold beyond their strength, knowingly risked and optimistic in adversity. Happy birthday, Greece! “

A different October 28 for coronavirus

It is observed that this year’s celebrations on October 28 are not reminiscent of those of previous years due to the coronavirus pandemic. The parades, military and student, were canceled, while the eulogies and other events will be held under strict protective measures.
