OAED – All News: By the end of October, OAED is expected to pay the second month of the two-month extension for the month of August.
The two-month extension of the payment of the regular unemployment benefit, the long-term unemployment benefit and the self-employment unemployment benefit applies to the subsidized unemployed whose benefit expired in June, July and August 2020.
As mentioned in a relevant ad Manpower Employment Organization (OAED), the payment will be completed automatically, by direct deposit of the amount corresponding to the two-month extension in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries and no action is required, such as application, presentation of supporting documents, etc. and, therefore, there is no reason to go to the Employment Promotion Centers (KPA2).
The following applies to whom and when the extension of the allowance will be paid:
- For the unemployed whose subsidy expired in June or July, the lump sum payment corresponding to the two-month extension will begin on Friday, October 2 and end in the next period.
- For those unemployed whose subsidy expired in August, the payment of the first additional month of subsidy will begin on Friday, October 2 and end in the following period, while the second additional month of subsidy will be paid in October.

Beneficiaries are only those who remain unemployed during the extension period and have not benefited from previous extensions of the first five months of 2020. Subsidized unemployed who started working in the period after the end of their scholarship will receive a reduced amount, in proportion to while they lost the right to the subsidy.
