Notams- Flights: countries excluded by Greece until June 15

To protect passengers and citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announces the following air instructions (5 new Notams in total):

– The suspension of all passenger flights to and from Greece with Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands will run until May 31, 2020 at 23:59.
– The temporary ban on flights to and from Albania and northern Macedonia runs until June 14, 2020 at 23:59.
-The ban on all flights to Greek territory with respect to Turkey extends until June 14, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
– Only at Athens “Eleftherios Venizelos” (DAA) airport, international flight arrivals / departures are allowed, the specific aviation directive is valid until May 31, 2020 at 23:59
– The temporary prohibition of entry into the country of non-European citizens remains in force until May 31, 2020 at 23:59.

The CAA notes that domestic flights, which are normally operated so far but in limited quantities, are expected to gradually reestablish frequencies and connections beginning Monday, May 18, due to the lifting of the travel ban in the country.

FRAMES

Temporary flight delays exclude cargo, medical, humanitarian flights, return flights of aircraft only with its crew (ferry flights), state flights, state flights indicating that they are in a state of emergency, military flights (military, these flights do not apply to Turkey), Frontex flights, refueling, support flights of our National Health System and repatriation flights for citizens.

The following exemptions also apply to temporary entry bans in non-European countries: members of families of European citizens, citizens of Schengen countries, health personnel, third-country nationals on long-term visas in a European country and a diplomatic country Schengen, military government, humanitarian personnel, aircraft crews and those non-European citizens who have obtained a travel permit from the Greek Consulate.
