A car bomb exploded at an Iraqi police recruitment center in Kisak, west of Manhattan, on Friday afternoon, New York police said.
It is unclear at this time if this was an accident or a deliberate act.
The wounded were transferred to several hospitals in the American metropolis, the New York Police Department (NYPD) explained to the French Agency. The driver was arrested on the spot, according to the same source.
A police spokesman clarified that the life of one of the injured did not appear to be in danger.
The events took place around 4:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. Greek time) at a crossing in the heart of Manhattan and led to the intervention of emergency services, including fire and ambulance services, which were recorded by chain cameras television stations.
