The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum confirms the existence of two cases of asymptomatic patients with coronary heart disease 19 in the makeshift structure: “quarantine” in Megala Therma, in northern Lesbos. That is, the structure that the ministry built by renting to a private individual the space that IRC had used in 2015 as a place of hospitality.
The two cases were detected in a random sample from an EODY workshop, nine refugees and immigrants living in the Thermae “quarantine”. A total of 70 refugees and migrants live in the structure, of whom 51 arrived on the island last Wednesday in the Good Port of Skalochori and the remaining 19 on Sunday in Lapsarna, Antissa.
The two virus-positive asymptomatic patients remain in separate quarantine in the structure of the Great Baths. Tomorrow, the remaining residents of the structure will be reviewed by EODY, as well as by the Police and the Coast Guard and those who contacted them.
