Regarding the discussion on coordination at the European level of diagnostic tests, with an emphasis on rapid antigen tests (rapid test), Kyriakos Mitsotakis recalled that Greece was one of the first EU countries. which included rapid tests in its strategy.

European leaders paid particular attention to the positive news for the development of effective and safe vaccines and highlighted the determination of the EU. for coordinated action and proper distribution of vaccines after approval by the competent control authorities.

On the economic front, Mitsotakis stressed that measures to support European economies should be extended to cover the first quarter of 2021.

The Prime Minister informed EU leaders that Greece is one of the first countries to submit the draft for the use of EU funds from the Recovery Fund, while expressing concern about difficulties that have arisen for final approval of the plan agreed in the summer.
