Moscow: the imposing exhibition of the Russian air force on Victory Day

Moscow seemed like a “ghost town” on Saturday during Victory Day celebrations, with traditional military parades and grand celebrations from previous years being canceled due to the crown pandemic.

Last year, around 500,000 people took to the streets of the Russian capital to celebrate the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

In his message, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Russia was “invincible” when he “joined”, giving a short speech at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin this morning.

However, the celebrations remained impressive. Characteristic was the passage through Red Square of modern Su-25 combat aircraft, which left white, blue and red smoke that represented the colors of the Russian flag. Russian helicopters and colossal bombers also set the tone for directing.
