Transport strike on Thursday. Without buses, urban and interurban KTEL
The declaration of a 24-hour strike for workers on OSY buses and trolleybuses, but also on urban and intercity KTEL buses, OSME announced for Thursday October 15th.
THE Federation of Transport Unions (OSME) expresses its opposition to the transfer of a state project OSY in the private KTEL, referring to the “privatization of public transport”.
By decision of its General Council the POEDIN, announced a 24-hour panhellenic strike and meeting in Athens on 10/15/2020.
The mobilizations were decided in context 24-hour strike declared by the General Council of ADEDY.

Colleagues, colleagues,
The ADEDY General Council, meeting by teleconference on October 6, 2020, decided to declare a 24-hour strike on Thursday, October 15, 2020, with requests:
- Public health shield. Brave increase in spending in the National Health System.
- Increase in the number of ICUs.
- Fill all vacancies.
- Free trial for everyone, where needs require it. Free personal protective equipment.
- Protection of vulnerable groups.
- Issuance of licenses for special purposes, without deduction from the normal license.
- Massive permanent appointments in education to fill thousands of organic and operational gaps.
- 15 students per department.
- Hiring permanent cleaning staff.
- Securing all jobs.
- No reduction in employee wages.
- Abolition of flexible, hired and rotating work.
- Permanent and stable work for everyone.
- Not in the firings of contractual partners.
- Expansion of the institution of Heavy – Unhealthy in the State with favorable regulations on retirement limits and working hours.
- Extension, increase, and non-reduction by any employee of the current hazardous and unhealthy work allowance.
- Abolition of the solidarity contribution for State employees.
- Stop the tax raid. Tax free at 12,000 euros.
- Abolition of ENFIA. Reduction of maximum VAT rates to 15%.
- Hiring in the State, to cover all organic gaps with priority in Health (Education, Local Government, Insurance Funds, Social Services, etc.).
- Repeal of all anti-insurance laws.
- Gradual restoration of all pensions.
- No privatization of social security. Establishment of a social security system that guarantees a decent life for retirees, as defined by the Constitution.
- Repeal of the law that restricts demonstrations. Abolish the 50% + 1 provision to decide a strike.
- Abolition of electronic voting.
- Extension of the validity of the Service Councils in the State.
In practice we will annul the modifications of the Ministry of Labor.
No to the privatization of public organizations, social services and commercialization of social goods.
Increase social spending on health, education, insurance, social protection and the environment.
No public property and housing auctions for employees who are shown unable to pay.
