Three thousand health workers had been vaccinated at 12 noon today, while according to a statement from the Secretary General of Primary Health Care Marios Themistocleous Vaccinations continue normally and it is not a matter of postponing or canceling them.
In particular, the statement of Mr. Themistocleous is as follows:
“Vaccinations continue normally, without any interruption, in the 9 hospitals in the country.
To date, at 12:00 a total of 3,001 vaccinations have been carried out. Yesterday New Years were 264 and from this morning until now 344 vaccines have been made.
All the hospitals in our country have been prepared and the mass vaccination of the health workers will be carried out in the period from 4/1 to 20/1 in 3 phases, as already announced.
Specifically, on Monday 4/1/2020 the vaccination of more than 5,000 health workers in 42 additional hospitals will begin. This number will increase gradually and according to plan.
Vaccination in nursing homes by the Mobile Groups (KOMY) of the National Public Health Organization will begin the same day.
So I want to make it clear that this is not about postponing or canceling vaccinations. “
