The Health Ministry issued a statement on Friday against Pavlos Polakis, accusing the former Deputy Minister of Health of lying about the Sotiria ICU.
Mr Polakis visited the hospital on Thursday evening to see if the statement of the President of Parliament, Costas Tassoulas (the 50 beds donated by Parliament are in operation) is true. It concluded that this is not the case. As he spoke in front of the camera, he had removed the mask he was holding in his hand.
The Ministry emphasized in detail the following:
Mr. Polakis visited GNTHA “I Sotiria” and saw 50 functional beds, in which 15 of our fellow citizens are already being cared for.
He did not believe the President of Parliament.
He did not believe the Hospital Commander.
He did not believe the doctors and nurses.
But he believed her lies.
