The Ministry of Health is proceeding with the rapid distance training of doctors of various specialties for the coronavirus.

The program for the treatment of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias, is implemented for the first time in Greece, with the scientific supervision of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the know-how of the EKAB Health Operations Center ( KEPY-EKAB) and the participation of the Associate Professor of Pathology-Infectious Diseases, from the AUTh Faculty of Medicine, AD Pathology Clinic, PGNTH AHEPA, Dr. Symeon Metallidis, from the Head of Public Health of the IV Ministry of Health of Macedonia and Thrace, Dr. Parthenhopis Fintanidou, and EKAB’s Coordinating Director of Medical Services, Dimitris Pyrrou.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been in daily collaboration with scientists from all universities and research centers in the country, with the aim of achieving the most effective treatment of the coronavirus.
The program, which is carried out remotely, covers all the special knowledge for patient management and health safety:
A) Use of Personal Protective Equipment, regarding the safe way of dressing and undressing
B) Clinical approach and examination of a patient with COV1D-19 disease
C) Evaluation of the severity of a patient with COV1D-19 disease
D) Oxygen therapy
E) Transportation and air transport of patients
We have started with doctors from the 3rd and 4th SAR in Macedonia and Thessaloniki and immediately the program will be extended to all of Greece, “said the Minister of Health.
