Koronovios – All news: The immediate hiring of 300 permanent doctors in the Intensive Care Units, but also the forced assignment of private clinics in the public Health system, is foreseen by an amendment recently submitted to Parliament by the Minister of Health, Vassilis Kikilias.
The Minister stressed that The government is making efforts to stop the pandemic, adding that in a few months ICU beds have doubled While More than 7,000 health personnel have been recruited.
“We are making efforts to keep the country in an upright position and the NSS not to leave any of our fellow citizens unprotected,” Kikilias said, adding that “the amendment provides for the immediate hiring of 300 permanent doctors in the ICU. The 200 hires will be they refer to applications and procedures that, in any case, lead to the final 100. All will go through direct procedures starting Monday at the NSS ”.
At the same time, Mr. Kikilias stressed that apprentices who so wish can extend their service to the NSS since the mandate can also be extended:
- Doctors close to retirement age who retire on 12/31 can be extended if they wish for another 6 months until 6/31/2021
- Possibility for private doctors to serve the ANS with a special employment relationship and compensation (mandatory requirement).
- In parallel to these measures for the acceleration and rapid strengthening of the ANS, we are expanding the possibility of the mandatory provision of private clinics and treatment centers “
“We live in unprecedented conditions and I am convinced that fighting and fighting together we will achieve it,” the minister stressed.
From the opposition side, SYRIZA Parliamentary Representative Giannis Ragousis claimed that the amendment was a confession of failure, while Ms Evangelia Liakouli of the Movement for Change argued that the amendment should have reached Parliament earlier.
