Mexico: 3 nurses found strangled

Three sisters, nurses, were found dead with signs of strangulation in the north. Mexican Officials in Koahuila state said Tuesday that an apparently triple murder was taking place after a series of attacks on health workers amid a new coronation pandemic.

Authorities say they are investigating a crime, but the reason is unclear. Health workers face a higher incidence of seizures Mexico in recent weeks for fear of transmitting the disease.

OR Javier Guerrero, a senior official at Mexico’s main public health service (IMSS) in Coahuila, described the deaths of the three nurses as murders. “It happened at a time when our doctors are the most important component in dealing with the health crisis.”

The State Attorney General, Gerardo Marquez He said two or three criminals may have been involved in the murder, but no arrests have been made. It was not immediately clear when the nurses were killed.

The Mexican Ministry of Health estimates that transmission of the virus will peak this week in Latin America’s second largest economy.

Yesterday, Mexico reported 1,906 new confirmed virus cases and an additional 199 deaths, bringing the total number of infections to 31,522 and deaths to 3,160 deaths. However, the government emphasizes that the actual number of cases and deaths is much higher.
