For the fourth consecutive season, Colossus took the pink card against Mars (84-74), at Nick Galis Hall, this time in the ninth game of the Stoiximan Basket League. The seas were great from the start of the match and with Kenny Goynes making an inconceivable appearance (34 points with 7/7 two points, 5/6 three points and 5/6 shots), they got what they wanted.

The Colossus was lined up with ten players in its line-up after the absence of Mikhail Andric (formerly Dasti Hanas), while Aris this week did not have Vladimir Dragicevic and Milan Milosevic due to injury.

THE RACE

Early in the game, the Colossus seemed much more spiritually prepared. The visitors took advantage of consecutive errors by the hosts and took the lead with +10 (3-13 in 3 ‘) in the middle of the first half, with Dominic Artis and Kenny Goynes leading the way. Little by little, Aris managed to balance the rhythm, improved his decisions in attack and with a triple by Mario Little he took the lead (23-22 in 12 ‘). Which, of course, turned out to be instantaneous.

Very quickly, the Marines stepped on the accelerator again, scoring consecutive unanswered points and with Kerem Kader standing out, they reached +11 (30-41 in 18 ‘), before closing the first half, leading with +8 (35-43 ), which gave them a significant winning advantage heading into the second half.

In the third ten minutes, Mars’ offensive problem became even more intense. For six minutes, Giannis Kouzeloglou was the only player to score, until Mario Chalmers smashed the 6m75 grenade. The difference, however, did not fall below eight points, as Kenny Goynes was unstoppable. The Marines didn’t lose control of the pace, except for two minutes at the start of the final period. From 30 ‘to 33’ Aris showed a somewhat better picture, closed the difference to six (58-64), but the time out for Elias Kantzouris came to … restore order.

The Colossus immediately found three points (indirectly) from Kerem Kader, to followThe consecutive points of Kenny Goynes and ensure the leadership of the guests. At the same time, Savvas Kamberidis saw Mario Chalmers and Giannis Kouzeloglou sent off with five fouls and thus writing the end of the match.

The Seas took the victory (84-74) for the fourth consecutive season at Nick Galis Hall, where they have built a very important tradition in recent years.
