Today, the HRDH completed its concession Alimos marina, the largest marina in the country, which is being modernized to become a landmark on the Attica waterfront.
the ΤΑΙΠΕΔ granted the right to use and exploit the Alimos marina for 40 years to the company “Desarrollo de la Nueva Marina Alimou SA”, a subsidiary of “Aktor Concessions”, receiving a single concession fee of 27.3 million euros.
The marina handover ceremony was attended by all parties that sign the corresponding concession agreement: on behalf of the Greek State, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis and the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Haris Theos, the Managing Director of HRDH, Mr. Richardos Lampiris and the Managing Director of ETAD, Mr. Stefanos Vlastos. On the part of the Concessionaire, the CEO of the company “Desarrollo de Nea Marina Alimos Único Propietario SA”, Mr. Giannis Moraitis, was present in the presence of the Mayor of Alimos, Mr. Andreas Kondylis.
This is the first concession HRDH marina, in which the preferred investor emerged through the electronic auction process (e-Auction).
The Alimou marina is one of the most important in Greece and one of the largest marinas in the eastern Mediterranean. Its land zone has an area of about 210,000 square meters, while its maritime zone has an area of about 428,000 square meters. The Alimou Marina currently offers around 1,100 berths for yachts of various sizes and largely meets the mooring needs of the Athens yacht charter market.
The company “Development of Nea Marina Alimou SA” It will modernize the marina and turn it into a first-rate tourist port, implementing an investment program that will exceed 50 million euros over the next five years. The development projects, in addition to the radical improvement of the existing port infrastructure and the activity of landing / maintenance of boats, will also refer to the regeneration of the land area of the marina, through the construction of 18,520 m2. the building facilities and the configuration of a highly aesthetic environment.
The objective is to create a tourism and leisure center that will include green areas and promenades, restaurants, shops, hotel facilities, offices, playgrounds, outdoor events, etc. With the planned upgrade of the Alimos Marina, the specific area of Alimos facing Attica is expected to be further developed, contributing to the rise of the Athenian Riviera from Faliro to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.

At the same time, it reaffirms that, even in the unprecedented difficult conditions caused by the health crisis, we continue to implement reforms with method and determination, which lay a solid foundation for strong, sustainable and socially just development.
With the concession of the Alimos marina, one of the largest marinas in the eastern Mediterranean, for 40 years to the company “Desarrollo de la nueva Marina Alimou SA”, the Greek State will receive a single concession fee of 27.3 million Euros and more, on an annual basis, the Concession Fee and the Variable Financial Compensation are equal to 16% of the Actual Annual Income.
At the same time, the concession paves the way for the modernization and transformation of the Alimos marina into a first-rate tourist port, since the Concessionaire will proceed, in the next five years, to the execution of an investment plan, which will exceed the 50 million euros.
Under this program, the existing port infrastructure and vessel storage activity will be radically improved, while the land area of the marina will be fully regenerated, through the construction of the building facilities and the configuration of the environment.
Therefore, the Alimos Marina is expected to make a decisive contribution to the development of maritime tourism, the improvement of the Athens waterfront and the sustainable growth of the national economy.
