Adonis Georgiadis responds to Elena Akrita for online attack on his wife
The Elena Akrita who is particularly active on social media, was a victim of them over the weekend. fake news and on the occasion of a “tweet” from her Eugenia Manolidou, which turned out to never be published, attacked the wife of the Minister of Development via the Internet, Adonis Georgiadis. After it became … a social media disaster and the problem spread, Ms. Akrita apologized for a new post, with several “buts” in her post regarding Eugenia Manolidou’s past.
However, Mr. Georgiadis was not covered by the journalist’s apology and with a long Facebook post, in which he states, among other things, that “the apology is a simple thing”, but admits the strong pen and intelligence of Elena Akrita. She emphasizes that the main reason for his physical sympathy for her is her father, Loukis Akritas. However, as Ms Georgiadis says, Ms Akrita “has no right to dislike either me or my part to attack my family members.” “When you decide, Ms. Akrita, to apologize again, if you ever decide, remember that apologizing is a simple thing and cannot be accompanied by anything else …,” writes Adonis Georgiadis in her post.
Adonis Georgiadis’s post in detail
A response due to Mrs. Elena Akrita.
The facts, more or less known. Mrs. Akrita suddenly adopted and commented on a fake and fabricated post by my husband Eugenia Manolidou on Saturday night, commenting, of course, as she often does, in a sharp way. When it became known that it was a lie, he downloaded it. Then, in an attempt to justify his act, he uploaded a completely vulgar, fake and recreated photo, and completed it with an even more vulgar implication.
When it became known that he had made the same mistake a second time and more vulgarly in the first way, he decided to “apologize” by writing two texts under one line of the apology. The first for Eugenia, incomprehensible, since in the end the accusation was the presentation of a video game on ANT1 12 years ago, which has nothing to do with the facts and then a long text for me and our only meeting in Pallas years ago. So, in this second, I would like to answer to clarify between us.
What Ms. Akrita says is true. She was accompanied by Mr. Kyritsis, my colleague in Parliament for an extremely pleasant time, with whom we always had a courteous relationship and treated her with the required, albeit slanderous, courtesy.
Of course, I also recognize his strong pen and intelligence.
But the main reason for my physical liking for her, however, is her father. Many do not know that my grandfather was Spyridon Vlassopoulos, editor-in-chief of the ESTIA newspaper until World War II.
Luke Akritas wrote there and in an unsuspected moment, my grandfather once spoke with great words about him. Loukis Akritas’ presence in public life was worthy and connected his name with two great things for me: the educational reform of Papanoutsos and the defense of the rights of Cypriot Hellenism. I always believed that a daughter of such a father could not have been raised by the authorities!
Ms. Akrita has every right not to like me, hate me, criticize me, etc. I am a public figure and when I decided to be, I accepted that this would happen. Not everyone can like it and fortunately for me I have received and still receive love and thousands of votes from the world, to accept those who criticize me, or even insult me, with patience.
I also admit that an intelligent person with a strong pen, like her, can do it more successfully sometimes, and then it can be useful to me, making me realize where I was wrong.
However, Ms. Akrita has a) no right to dislike me and the faction I represent to “attack” my family members and b) to upload false news, photos, etc. as true
And one last personal tip for Ms. Akrita and let’s discard.
When you decide to go cheap and risk the low bandwidth that you are only fooling yourself with, remember that forgiveness is a simple thing and cannot be accompanied by “but.” If after the apology you want to say “but”, it loses its meaning and is a gift / gift. Maybe even you, so smart, make a mistake somewhere and then just type “I made a mistake, sorry.”
You cannot imagine how brave and comforting it is at times … Christ is risen, Mrs. Akrita.
A few minutes later, Elena Akrita republished the Adonis Georgiadis post on her Facebook profile, writing: “For reasons of principle, I am announcing Adonis Georgiadis’s response to me.” Insulting or vulgar comments will be removed. “
The fake post that created the misunderstanding
The start was made with a fake tweet from Eugenia Manolidou, who allegedly wrote that her family spent 7 days at 38 euros. Elena Akrita was quick to comment on the post, writing that “if it were irrelevant, we would consider it fun.” But she is the wife of the Deputy Prime Minister (…) Shame. Alone “.
The minister’s response was immediate, writing that it was false news, asking the journalist to “leave families out of this vulgarity.” The journalist again reported in a Facebook post that she had removed the post about Manolidou because she was a troll.
