More than 1,370 were fines imposed police officers for violations of the traffic ban in New Year Eve.
It is recalled that the fine for infringement emergency shutdown it’s 300 euros.
A total of 1,375 violations of traffic restrictions were confirmed and an equal number of fines of € 300 were imposed, as follows:
(386) in Attica,
(191) in Thessaloniki,
(105) in Central Macedonia,
(92) in Crete,
(84) in East Macedonia and Thrace
(80) in central Greece,
(79) in western Greece,
(62) in Epirus,
(62) in the Peloponnese,
(61) in the North Aegean,
(61) in the southern Aegean,
(51) in Thessaly,
(36) in the Ionian Islands and
(25) in West Macedonia.
Since the entry into force of the measure (November 7), a total of (64,421) similar violations have been confirmed.
At the same time, the police cut 286 fines for not wearing a mask, etc. related offenses as follows:
(46) in Attica,
(31) in Crete,
(25) in the North Aegean,
(25) in Thessaloniki,
(21) in Western Greece,
(20) in central Greece,
(19) in Central Macedonia,
(19) in the southern Aegean,
(18) in Epirus,
(17) in East Macedonia and Thrace,
(14) in the Ionian Islands,
(12) in Thessaly,
(10) in West Macedonia and
(9) in the Peloponnese.
Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7), a total of (24,319) similar offenses have been confirmed and (22,999) administrative fines of (300) euros and (1,320) of (150) euros have been imposed.
Finally, 8 arrests were made due to the operating regulations for businesses, private companies, etc. Violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, no use of mask, percentage of square meters per person, obligation to present clients only by appointment – clickaway, etc.).
In the previous cases, the following administrative fines were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. related violations of the relevant provisions, namely:
- In the south of the Aegean, 5,000 euros in cafeteria and 15 days of suspension.
- In the Peloponnese, 5,000 euros for a clothing store and a 15-day suspension.
- In the Ionian Islands, the arrest of the owner of a cafe and the imposition of a fine of 2,000 euros and a suspension of operation of 15 days.
- In Epirus, a fine of 2,000 euros and a 15-day suspension in a tsipouro restaurant: barbecue.
- In Western Greece, the arrest of a temporary manager of a cafeteria and the imposition of a fine of 5,000 euros to the owner, 3,000 euros to the temporary manager and a suspension of 15 days.
- In other cases, fines related to infractions of the relevant legislation (unnecessary movement, not wearing a mask, etc.)
Since the new measures came into effect (November 7), a total of (581) similar violations have been confirmed and (641) people have been arrested.
