The avalanche of the Greek #MeToo, which until today swept the violent behavior in the dressing rooms, the quintessence and the rehearsals, came to scan the brutally abusive behavior of theatrical people beyond the blackboard.
Recently, the number of complaints against the former artistic director of the National Theater, Dimitris Lignadis, has increased.
At the same time, a new complaint comes to light and for a fourth violation committed by Dimitris Lignadis, the judicial authorities are in his hands.
According to information from the investigator handling the case, a 24-year-old man testified today who, he said, was raped by the well-known actor-director when he was 17 years old. The specific victim came to the questioner as a witness. However, he also reported his own abuse to her.
According to the same sources, the 24-year-old would have denounced that the man already temporarily detained in Tripoli prison for two rapes “caught” him in the street and that he was raped in the actor’s house when he called him at some point and he, not suspecting what would come next, he left.
Said witness allegedly revealed / confirmed other acts of sexual abuse with the well-known actor as “protagonist” and of which he was aware, since he appears to have been present when they occurred.
It is noteworthy that the previous testimony, according to what the victim describes about the way he approached and the place where it took place, further reinforces the vision of a common method in all cases, a “modus operandi” by part of the actor. .
That is to say, that he “fished” minors and boys in the squares (where, as he said in his apology, he preferred that they drink his coffee), he made them trust him and then he persuaded them to go home together, where he abused. them, having first neutralized any resistance with alcohol or drugs.
However, the specific testimony about the fourth violation, according to Realnews, is expected to soon enter the “microscope” of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office.
As judicial sources have clarified, for any new complaint against D. Lignadis a new file will be opened and the Prosecutor’s Office will carry out a preliminary investigation.
Anonymous phone calls
Yet at the same time, as their mouths open, some seem to be trying to close them.
According to the newspaper, the witness-complainants in the case allegedly received threats, with the obvious objective, as stated by those around them, of keeping silent.
In particular, one of the plaintiffs, say the same sources, was attacked with a knife a few days ago by unknown persons, while others were threatened through anonymous phone calls they received.
All this, of course, is being investigated by the Justice, which is already aware of these serious complaints.
At the same time, the investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office are in full swing, concerning, on the one hand, the period in which Lignadis was teaching in Arsakeio and, on the other hand, the information on possible abuses of minor refugee minors who came from structures and visited him at home as part of theater education courses.
According to information, regarding Arsakeio Psychiko, in which the actor was in charge of the theater group from 1993 to 2002, there does not appear to be any criminal act – not prescribed by law – on his part.
He himself, in his apology, when asked about it, had categorically denied the relevant publications.
