Lamia General Hospital ICU director of Lamiotis, George Kyriazopoulos, “left” at the age of 57, mourning not only his own people but all of Fthiotida.
“Black” Sunday for Lamia who lost a great doctor and a great man. George Kyriazopoulos passed away on Sunday afternoon in Athens, where he was hospitalized for the last few days after a health problem he was facing.
George Kyriazopoulos was engaged in medical science and had saved many people in the Intensive Care Unit, according to lamiareport.gr.
He had literally given his soul to the UCI alongside Dimitris Sfyras, from whom he took the lead and continued at the helm of the UCI until today.
In recent months, he had dedicated “soul and body” to the expansion of the ICU to be prepared to meet the needs due to Covid-19.
So today there are the 6 extra beds that are for covid and the 5 extra that are being prepared for the Covid ICU, in addition to the 8 beds of the regular ICU.
