A 65-year-old man from Lamia was intubated in the stone building of the Lamia Hospital.
A 70-year-old patient passed away on Saturday afternoon. (11/21) at the Lamia Hospital covid clinic for opposition.
The patient was experiencing severe heart problems and recently suffered from coronavirus disease. Suffered a heart attack and despite the constant efforts of the medical and nursing staff, she did not return.
Unfortunately in the last days and especially in the last week Covid cases are not only increasing but they also turn out to be more intense in terms of symptoms, literally filling the stone building after the coronavirus ICU.
According to the lamiareport report already 30 people are being treated for coronavirus in the stone and 6 in the ICU, while in the last hours another 65-year-old man from Lamia was intubated. In fact, there was no bed in any ICU and fortunately the solution was provided by the precious respirators donated by the Chipita company to the Lamia Hospital. These are the German Lyra2 respirators from Axcent, on which the staff of the Lamia ICU had already been trained for this and will be put into operation immediately.
Also in the quiver of the Lamia General Hospital, there are also two special machines with water blankets to warm and cool patients, a valuable offering from the Papaioannou company.
