At forty days, the seventeen-year-old patient who was infected with a coronavirus was discharged from AHEPA’s Intensive Care Unit.
Specifically, on August 15, the 17-year-old went on vacation to Halkidiki, developed a fever, and within hours her health condition rapidly deteriorated. Since then she was admitted to the ICU, while she did not suffer from any underlying disease.
The intubation of the quinceañera was confirmed, during the information about the coronavirus, by the assistant professor of EKPA and member of the committee of infectious diseases, Gikas Majorkinis.
“The girl is in very good health, we are waiting for some tests so she can return home. “She could have had organ failure, but we escaped,” AHEPA clinic director Simos Metallidis told Open TV.
It should be noted that yesterday, Thursday, EODY announced 342 new cases of coronavirus and nine deaths. After the last report, the cases in Greece amount to 16,627. Until yesterday, the number of intubated patients was 68.
