A baby just 37 days old with no underlying illness ended up in Children’s Hospital. This is the youngest victim of the pandemic in our country.

“The child first contracted a coronavirus and due to the complications of the coronavirus, in the complications of the coronavirus for this age, there may be respiratory difficulties,” says the pediatrician, Nikos Voudouris.

He had an uneven battle with the intubated coronary tube in the intensive care unit for 15 days.

“The boy was intubated for many days in the Intensive Care Unit and obviously had some complications and it ended,” says Mr. Voudouris.

He was reportedly suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome due to pneumonia caused by the coronary artery.

“Of course we know that children are not a serious disease, morbidity and mortality rates are lower than those of the general population and, in fact, mortality is very low, 0.2%,” notes Mr. Voudouris.

The Minister of Health had spoken of the baby a few days after his intubation, obviously excited.

“Every day on February 19, I watch with anguish the course of the health of a 24-day-old baby intubated on Sunday morning. She is an innocent little soul fighting for life. I think it is worth it for all of us to think about this image and do what we can to overcome this difficulty ”.

Shocked, the Minister of Health was informed of the tragic news.

In a post on Twitter, Mr. Kikilias notes:

The youngest victim of the Covid disease passed away today in “Aglaia Kyriakou”. Unfortunately, this innocent soul couldn’t bear it. “Value to your family,” he wrote on Twitter.

The 37-day-old baby is one of the youngest victims of the pandemic in the world. In June, a 13-day-old baby died without underlying illnesses in Britain.
