EODY announced today 240 new cases of the new virus in the country.
The new cases were identified in detail:
– 34 cases during the checks carried out at the front doors from the country
– 99 cases in the Attica region, of which 15 are related to known influxes, while 4 report recent travel within the country
– 5 cases of PE Thessaloniki, of which 1 mentions a recent trip within the country
• 4 cases in PE From acaya
• 2 cases in PE Evros
• 1 case in the prefecture of Evritania
• 3 cases in PE Heraklion
• 1 case in Thira prefecture
• 12 cases from the prefecture of Ioannina, of which 6 are associated with a known confluence
• 1 case in Kavala prefecture
• 2 cases in PE Karditsa
• 1 case in Kastoria prefecture
• 1 case in Corfu prefecture
• 8 cases in PE Kozani, of which 1 is associated with travel within the country
• 3 cases in Larissa prefecture
• 22 cases in PE Lesbos, of which 21 associated with a known influx in the Moria KYT
• 2 cases in PE Magnesia
• 1 case in Messinia prefecture
• 4 cases in Pella prefecture
• 6 cases in PE Pieria, 3 of which are related to a recent trip within the country
• 2 cases in Rethymno prefecture, of which 1 is related to a recent trip within the country
• 4 cases in PE Trikala
• 1 case in PE From Halkidiki
• 2 cases in Chania prefecture
• 1 case in Chios prefecture
• 1 case in Mount Athos prefecture
17 cases are under investigation
The total number of cases is 14978, of which 55.7% men.
It is considered that 2,576 (17.2%) are related to trips from abroad and 6297 (42.0%) are related to a known case.
65 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 69 years. 21 (32.3%) are women and the rest are men. 86.2% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 177 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 4 more deaths recorded and 331 deaths in total in the country. 122 (36.9%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.7% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
