We remind you that in the last 24 hours the cases have spread throughout the country to 1,261, of which 649 are in Attica.
According to the organization’s data, after the completion of the genomic analysis of 96 samples related to the period 19-27 January 2021 and from Attica and Thessaloniki, the number of mutation cases is as follows:

Of the 96 samples tested, 76 met the strict quality criteria required for analysis and the final test was completed successfully.
The audit revealed a total of 31 samples positive for the VOC 202012/01 strain (Lineage B.1.1.7), all located in Attica. Specifically, the strain VOC 202012/01 (Lineage B.1.1.7) was detected in:
- 7 samples from hospitals
- 24 samples of Health Centers
204 cases of mutation in Greece
In our country, a total of 204 positive samples have been identified for the mutant strain B.1.1.7 / UK lineage and a mutant strain Lineage B.1.351 / South Africa of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
