Coronavirus: 1,142 new cases, 466 intubated, 53 deaths

569 of the 1,142 new cases of coronavirus in the last twenty-four hours, were detected on Sunday, March 7, in the Attica region.

One more day, the largest region of the country registers more than half of the new cases of coronavirus in one day.

Downtown Athens remains at a triple-digit number of coronavirus cases, with 162 infections, while 82 cases are found in eastern Attica and 81 in Piraeus.

How Coronavirus Cases Are Distributed

Of the total of 1,142 new cases of the new coronavirus in the country, 9 are imported, of which 8 were identified after controls at the country’s gateways.

As you can see from the EODY table, 130 cases of coronavirus are registered today in Thessaloniki, 35 in Achaia, 23 in Corinth, 24 in Larissa and 25 in the Heraklion region, Crete. It should be noted that in the last 24 hours, about 22,000 tests were carried out, that is, less than half of those that are usually carried out in the territory on a daily basis.
